WE had dinner at an authentic Mexican restaurant the other night. How do we know? Well, they said so. Plus they had all the right-sounding words on the menu: ceviche and tostadas, tacos with slow-cooked veal tongue, carnitas, mole - made with achiote peppers, Aztec chocolate, pico de gallo, Mezcal, you get the idea. Not a single Mexican was involved in the preparation of our meal, but that's just semantics.
