Luxury mobility
THIS is what Rolls-Royce thinks the future of luxury mobility looks like. Called Vision Next 100, it is Rolls-Royce's rejection of the common notion that the future of personal transport is a utilitarian and functional one.
At 5.9 metres long and 1.6 metres high, its dimensions mirror today's Phantom Extended Wheelbase.
With its re-imagined Pantheon grille, it will be hand-built from the most advanced materials and powered by a zero emissions powertrain - that is, not the familiar V12 combustion engine.
Passengers step unbowed into the futuristic, handcrafted lounge atmosphere, and sit on an ultra-modern sofa with their view uninterrupted by a cockpit or steering wheel, which will become superfluous in the future.
The catch? You may have to wait after 2040 to buy one.
