A SLEW of new models will be launched at next week's Singapore Motorshow 2016 and most of them are Japanese, which is good news for the throngs of replacement buyers expected to enter the market this year. The second instalment of the local automotive event is taking place as car distributors continue to take advantage of the steadily expanding COE quota. Last year's motor show returned to Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre after a hiatus of more than six years. Organised by the Motor Traders' Association, a grouping of mainly new car dealers, the 2016 edition will run from Jan 14-17.
Suzuki Vitara
The iconic '80s compact SUV returns, with a 1.6-litre engine to drive all four wheels using Suzuki's All Grip 4WD technology that will allow you to go offroad with confidence. This time, the Vitara is made in Hungary and comes with a good level of standard equipment, such as keyless push start system, auto engine start/stop, cruise control, seven airbags, ESP and a panoramic sunroof.
