Scout's honour
The legendary Indian Scout has finally landed on our shores.
HANDS up those who have heard of the Indian motorcycle brand in Singapore? Hmmm... not many it seems. Think big chrome bikes and the brand that first comes to mind is probably Harley Davidson. But the 2015 Indian Scout's arrival in Singapore will hopefully let Singaporeans in on one of motorcycling's most famous and coveted bikes.
The Indian Scout carved a place for itself in history in the so-called wall of death and during racing back in the 1950s, when the legendary Indian Wrecking Crew rode the Indian Scout to victory against superior "factory" machines from Europe across the US. It was also ridden by the Allied Forces in World War II.
"The Legend is finally here! We're excited to present enthusiasts in Singapore with a bike that is steeped in tradition, racing wins, and world records," says Eugene Mah - managing director of Mah Pte Ltd. He adds that his initial shipment of eight Scouts have all been sold and delivery is ongoing. "We've also applied for Singapore to be an official chapter of IMRG (Indian Motorcycle Riders Group) so that owners can benefit from the whole ownership experience," says Mr Mah.
