Fans of the greatest nature documentary-maker of all time, Sir David Attenborough, are chuffed to see his new series, Our Planet, debut on Netflix recently. At 92 years of age, the legendary broadcaster and natural historian remains one of the most trusted and authoritative commentators on the natural world. But even if you're not a fan of nature documentaries, there are good reasons to see this one. Never before has Sir Attenborough taken on a more urgent tone about environmental destruction. Yes, there are the usual spectacular shots of flora and fauna. And yes, the depictions of animal behaviour are as compelling as ever. But his narration now frequently takes a turn for the dire when he warns us why the beauty we're witnessing may not last much longer if we don't act.
Our Planet is now streaming on Netflix.
