Embracing the beauty of imperfections
AFTER a three-year hiatus, homegrown musician Alexius Cai, who records under the moniker Piblokto, is back with a new album, Imperfection.
Despite the title, there is nothing wrong about this beauty of a record. Like his debut Colourless Fields (2013), the new work is a quiet and atmospheric late-night listen that paints a lush soundscape with its soothing multi-layered acoustic melodies.
Cai started Piblokto in 2012 as an avenue to explore guitar textures and ambient sounds.
