French Flair
It's hard to categorise Charles-Baptiste's eclectic brand of pop but we were won over the moment we watched a YouTube video of him covering Daft Punk's Get Lucky in French on the piano. Catch him in the flesh as he plays a free concert in Singapore as part of this year's Voila! Festival which celebrates all things Gallic.
His energetic showmanship is apparently as quirky as his music and his "one keyboard, two voices, one laptop, one bass" set-up sounds anything but conventional, so prepare for a riot of a show. It sounds like a performance worth an encore - or even two.
Charles-Baptiste plays the Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage at Singapore Botanic Gardens on April 21 at 6pm. Admission is free.
