IT has been a long time coming but Dream Theater has finally scored a number one album more than three decades in.
The Astonishing, released in January 2016, became the prog-rockers' first record to reach the top of the US Billboard Rock Chart, prompting keyboardist Jordan Rudess to half-jokingly reveal the members celebrated by popping the bubbly.
"We try to break out the champagne as often as possible... to celebrate life!" he chuckles, when congratulated before adding on a more serious note, "although we have a foundation, keeping a good chart position does matter in terms of business".
