GITANJALI (I FEEL THE EARTH MOVE)
BASED on Rabindranath Tagore's poetry collection, the play stars Padma Sagaram as Savitri, the ageing owner of a traditional dance school in India who is searching for a successor to run the school.
Says director Alvin Tan: "Classical Indian dance is linked to Hindu myths and gods. So Savitri has a sacred duty to ensure the dance school continues after she dies."
