SENIOR citizens are going uptown, for their art's sake.
After being located in the heartlands to be closer to its target audience, Silver Arts - the annual arts platform for senior citizens - is headed to the Central Business District (CBD), for good reason.
"Bringing the Silver Arts Exhibition to Marina Bay Link Mall is also part of National Arts Council's (NAC) plan to reach out to working adults," explains Chua Ai Liang, Arts & Communities director at the National Arts Council. "We hope that more people can recognise the creative talents of seniors and also encourage working adults to take time off their busy schedules to catch a meaningful arts event near their work places."
