A stackable house
This unique home made out of glass, concrete and steel boxes stands out in the neighbourhood.
When Dawn Chin and her husband approached architects William Ng and Kho Keguang of STUDIO WILLS + Architects to design their home in Upper Thomson, the couple were very clear about what they wanted.
"We've built a few houses previously, and know what we liked and needed," says Chin, senior director at an IT and communication engineering firm.
The couple wanted a box-like structure, and for the architects to include off-form concrete, bricks and aluminium louvres into the design. On top of that, they needed two studies, a garage for six cars, and a man-cave/entertainment area for the husband, a management consultant.
