JW Anderson's first collaboration with Japanese retailer Uniqlo certainly shows promise. The 33-piece menswear and womenswear collection is reflective of Anderson's Northern Irish and British heritage which includes Fair Isle, cable knits, highland tartans and rugby inspired themes. Anderson's forward interpretation of masculinity and femininity shows a range of interesting silhouettes made up of oversized reversible coats and boxy turtle neck sweaters. Says Anderson, " I believe in democracy in fashion, and what I hope will be achieved is that any age demographic can pick up and find something within the collection to relate to." Prices range from $19.90 to $249.90.
The collection is available on Sept 22 at www.uniqlo.com/sg and at the brand's global flagship store at Orchard Central.
