Step into the inner sanctum of Coco Chanel in Mademoiselle Privé in Tokyo - the fifth city to house this exhibition that delves into the creative mindset of the style icon. Like London, Seoul, Hong Kong and Shanghai before it, the Tokyo site captures the essence of the enigmatic Gabrielle Chanel's creative studio in her 31 rue Cambon apartment in Paris. Located in the event space of B&C Hall in Tokyo's design-centric Tennozu Isle, the exhibition is split into three divisions that represent the Chanel DNA: Haute Couture which was re-energised by the late Karl Lagerfeld and now Virginie Viard; the legendary perfume Chanel N°5 which she created in 1921; and High Jewelry, which includes a reboot of Madame Chanel's 'Bijoux de Diamants', her sole collection designed in 1932. Catch this pop-up before it ends on Dec 31.
Mademoiselle Privé is at the B&C Hall - Tennoz, 2-1-3 Higashi-Shinagawa, Tokyo.
