The Flaming Lips here again to enthral its audience
WHEN American psychedelic rock band The Flaming Lips rolled into Singapore four years ago for its first concert here, it left its mark with a wacky combination of colourful confetti, giant stage props, strange costumes and a rock star in a giant bubble.
Back in town, the band is eager to top its 2010 performance, with lead-singer and crowd surfer extraordinaire Wayne Coyne promising a repertoire of new songs and classic hits and more stage shenanigans.
"The shows we've been doing since the beginning of summer are some of the best shows we've ever played," says Coyne in an interview.
