IF THE WEATHER at home is getting too unbearable, it's time to head south. It's winter in Australia and Perth - the closest city to us - is just a five-hour flight away.
In fact, don't just stop there, but head to Margaret River - an easy three-hour drive from Perth airport - which was recently named the top destination in Asia Pacific for 2019 by Lonely Planet.
It is easy to understand why. Winters are cool and mild with an average temperature of 14 degrees Celsius and in summer, temperatures are no higher than 32 degrees Celsius. The all-year-round destination offers plenty to eat and drink as well as adventure on the side.
