Pet Hotel
You know it's a good year to be a dog, with luxury hotels such as the Mandarin Oriental Hotels in London and Paris offering the red carpet treatment to pampered pooches. Luxury British dog brand Teddy Maximus has teamed up with the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park to offer the kind of room amenities that any pup would want to pilfer before checking out. For £600 (S$1,092), your furry friend gets to sleep on a Shetland Wool Cocoon bed with a luxury lounging cushion, eat off ceramic dishes and chew on a wool toy bone - all handmade by British craftsmen. Across the Channel, the already pet-friendly Mandarin Oriental Paris offers a Posh Dog menu for discerning canines, prepared by Michelin-starred chef Thierry Marx. Dishes include chicken breast with basmati rice or chopped fillet of beef with steamed seasonal vegetables. Your pet can order room service or be waited on at Camélia restaurant. What a life.
