THE next time you're dithering for an entry password at the door to coveted cocktail bar The Library, here's a tip: take a good look around.

For that swankily decked out, walk-in wardrobe-esque space isn't just a holding room for the bar, it is a standalone bespoke tailoring business. And it's been around for four decades.

The 10 sq m store is Jonathan Chiang's attempt to resuscitate Leong Tailors, a tailor shop that Mr Chiang's granduncle Chow Leong Choy ran in a basement unit in Hong Leong Finance Building in Raffles Place since the 1970s.
