Preschools no child’s play as more investors join the fray

Investors, including foreigners, are keen on Singapore’s preschools post-Covid, even as sector faces consolidation

WORKING with young children has always been something that Claire Rui enjoyed.

The mother of a preschooler used to teach dance to kindergarteners in China, and finding similar work in Singapore was on her mind.

After working for three years as a consultant at a tech company, she decided to return to teaching performing arts to children. Later, she took a further step by investing in a Maple Bear preschool with a partner.
