Banks can learn from SingPost
I REFER to the article "SingPost - an Asian case study of corporate reinvention" (BT, Oct 16, 2015).
There are lots of lessons on how a traditional firm such as Singapore Post (SingPost) has embraced, invested and transformed itself into an e-commerce player. Strategic collaboration and partnerships have enabled SingPost to go beyond its core services. Look also at how other companies - such as Apple, Amazon and Google - have transformed themselves.
Banks in Singapore can learn from SingPost's transformation. They can extend their products' reach by replicating what SingPost has done.
