1. What was the most interesting thing that happened this week?
It's certainly been an eventful last few days, both at home and abroad. An emotional US President Barack Obama gave his farewell address on a blustery Wednesday morning in his adopted hometown of Chicago as he prepares to hand the White House keys to Donald Trump on Jan 20.
On Tuesday, the Straits Times Index ended above the 3,000-point milestone for the first time in over a year, although it failed to hold on to that mark as the week went on as most markets in the region fell as well.
