Zombie machines and cyber attacks
1. What do you think was the most remarkable thing that happened this week?
Lots happened: Singapore's central bank warned of growing mismatches among the resident workforce; the Singapore Table Tennis Association announced that it has dropped three-time Olympic medallist Feng Tianwei from the national lineup; and StarHub blamed "zombie" devices for outages on its home broadband service, which left some customers without Internet access last Saturday and Monday.
Of the three, I'd wager that the last is the most striking, because, hello, zombie machines launching cyber attacks?!
