Creating sustainable cities and turning them into cities of opportunity

THREE-and-a-half billion people - half the world's population - reside in cities. Asia, home to almost two-thirds of the world's population on one-third of the world's land mass, highlights a pressing need for sustainable cities. Hence the demand for more innovative green solutions.

Tai Lee Siang, the newly appointed chairman of the World Green Building Council's board of directors - an influential group of global leaders on green buildings and sustainability - gives his take on the transformation of Asian cities towards more sustainable and livable models.
