Expect next American president to be boring
He'll neither be a clone of Obama nor Trump as Americans seek a conventional politician

HERE is a prediction. And trust me. You can take it to the bank: the next American president will be a former governor, with successful experience as an executive who got things done and made government work.
Not the first "X" (woman; Hispanic; Asian; gay) to serve in office, he will probably be quite a conventional politician, who doesn't exude charisma, who isn't a great orator. The kind who doesn't make you stay glued to the television screen. For that you have CSI and the Comedy Channel.
In short, he will probably be boring. Or to put it in more concrete terms, he will certainly not be the political clone of Barack Obama or Donald Trump. The American people are exhausted at this point, and seek to "return to normalcy", to use the slogan employed by presidential candidate War…
