'Grungy' label unfair for eatery, especially when our food has earned 'good reviews'
I REFER to the BT article "Good efforts but more work needed" published on Dec 22, 2017.
Here are a few points that we would like to contest.
It seems inappropriate for a food reviewer to be referring to Uni Gallery as a "grungy" eatery.
We are not a fine-dining restaurant but position ourselves as a modern-casual Japanese restaurant. Just because we're not fitted out with a zen-like luxurious interior like a typical upmarket Japanese restaurant does not make us "grungy".
Is BT so high-brow that it finds anything less than fine-dining environments unacceptable? We have never claimed ourselves to be a fine-dining res…
