IT'S Wednesday afternoon and I have just returned home after a flight from Kuala Lumpur. The entire journey took about 41/2 hours, including waiting time and travelling to and from the two airports.
The journey would have been much quicker if not for an unexpected delay on the tarmac at the KL International Airport; with the runway congested, the plane took off about 40 minutes after its scheduled departure time - almost as long as the entire flight to Singapore itself.
Driving on the North-South Expressway from Singapore to KL takes four to five hours, but can be much longer depending on your luck with the traffic and the queues at the checkpoints.
