99.co gets Series A funds, expands scope
Property search portal aims to improve experience of apartment hunting

PROPERTY search portal 99.co, the latest venture by serial entrepreneur Darius Cheung, has raised S$2 million in Series A funding from investors such as Sequoia Capital and Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin, taking its total investment to date to some S$2.7 million.
The startup, launched last May as a platform to look for apartments for rent, announced on Thursday that it was expanding its offerings to include properties for sale as well.
