"WELL, shall we get started?"

About 10 members of a non-profit organisation entered an old, two-storey wooden house in Yame, Japan, its doors creaking. They started sorting household items inside that were covered with dust. The house, which also used to serve as a book-lending shop, has been vacant since its female owner died about 15 years ago.
