Developers all set to launch new resort on Rompin, off M'sia's East Coast near Tioman

BUOYED by the progress of Funtasy Island in Indonesia's Riau province across from Singapore, its promoters are contemplating a far larger seafront development on Malaysia's East Coast in Kuala Rompin, across from popular Tioman Island.

Billed as "Asia's largest ocean- facing residential and commercial development", the South Oceans project will be sited on a single 486-hectare tract of land in Pahang that includes a 5.5 kilometre private beachfront.
