Construction at NY buildings declared 'vacant' for work riles their tenants

Residents at 292 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn complained of piles of dust and concrete from construction work that started after it was declared vacant.

THE complaints to the city from 292 Bedford Ave in Brooklyn read like dispatches from chaos.

"They have huge piles of dust and concrete, which is getting tenants sick," one said. "Caller's apartment is vibrating, and he is afraid his ceiling will drop," said another.
