DEVELOPERS sold 820 private homes, excluding executive condominium or EC units, in June 2017, fewer than the 1,039 units in May 2017 but more than the 536 units that developers moved in June 2016.

On a preliminary basis, the tally for Q2 2017 is 3,426 units, exceeding the 2,962 units in Q1 this year and 2,256 units in Q2 last year.

In the first half of this year, developers have sold 6,388 private homes, up from 3,675 units in the same year-ago period.

These figures are based on data released by Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) on Monday based on its survey of licensed housing developers.

URA's June developer sales data shows that 75 units were sold at The Santorini in Tampines, 55 units were sold at Parc Riviera in the West Coast area and 44 units at Sophia Hills.

Inclusive of ECs, which are a public-private housing hybrid, developers found buyers for 1,064 units in June 2017 - fewer than the 1,416 units in May 2017 but surpassing 768 units in June 2016.

On a preliminary basis, developers moved 992 EC units in Q2 2017, taking the tally for the first half to 2,064 units - higher than the 1,867 units in H1 2016.
