Former Riverview Hotel to reopen next year

STARWOOD Hotels & Resorts Worldwide will introduce its Four Points brand in Singapore with the Keck Seng Group via the Four Points Singapore, Riverview which will open by end of next year.

The hotel will see a S$25 million rebranding and renovation of the former Riverview Hotel on 382 Havelock Road, which is located along the Singapore River.

"The signing of Four Points Singapore, Riverview underscores Starwood's multi-brand growth strategy in the country," said Rajit Sukumaran, senior vice-president (acquisition and development) Starwood Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific. "It is also an example of our conversion-friendly approach and our ability to convert hotels in a short amount of time as we strive to maximise value for our partners and create compelling experiences for our guests."

Four Points Singapore, Riverview will feature 476 contemporary guest rooms, several food and beverage establishments, a fitness centre, an outdoor pool and 876 square metres of meeting and ballroom space.

Shirley Wong, general manager of Four Points Singapore, Riverview, added: "We are excited to introduce the compelling Four Points brand in Singapore, delivering an approachable design and stylish comfort for the everyday traveller to the local hospitality scene."

Four Points currently operates 45 hotels in the region, and will more than double its footprint with nearly 50 additional hotels in the pipeline.
