Grace makes overseas foray with hotel in San Francisco
Group plans further expansion with focus on luxury boutique category
SINGAPORE hotel group Grace International has planted its flag overseas with boutique property The Scarlet Huntington in San Francisco.
Now that it has opened its first hotel outside Singapore, Grace International has plans for further expansion in new markets and said that it would largely focus on the luxury boutique category. It opened boutique hotel The Scarlet in Singapore in December 2004.
"The Scarlet Huntington heralds Grace International's first foray overseas," said Fong Kah Seng, group chief executive officer of Grace International. "San Francisco's appeal as a global city of opportunity and its popularity as a travel destination was what drew us to the city. It was the ideal platform for us to introduce our unique brand of bespoke service and to establish our presence beyond Singapore."
