Mori to spend 400b yen building 3 Tokyo towers

Skyscrapers are part of the company's one trillion yen plan to redevelop the central Toranomon area over 10 years

Mori's new project will add to an already full pipeline of office space under construction in Tokyo, potentially hurting rental prices as developers turn old buildings into new towers ahead of the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.


JAPAN'S Mori Building Co said on Wednesday that it will spend about 400 billion yen (S$4.95 billion) on constructing three high-rise towers as part of a grand plan to redevelop a central Tokyo district, and may seek a partner to fund the project.
