NG Kok Siong, the current executive vice president of urban investment and development company Singbridge, will be the CEO of Guangzhou Knowledge City as of Oct 15, 2015, said a press release from Ascendas-Singbridge Group.

Mr Ng has over 20 years of real estate experience in investment, development, asset management and real estate consultancy in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in China, the release noted.

Before joining Singbridge, Mr Ng was the executive vice president for asset management with the Pacific Star Group, an international real estate fund management company based in Singapore.

He takes over from Chin Phei Chen, who has been CEO for two and a half years and will be returning to a senior leadership role within the Temasek group of companies.

The release said that under Mr Chin's leadership, Guangzhou Knowledge City - a joint project between Singapore and China - has made significant progress and proceeded according to schedule.

Basic infrastructure has been completed and is largely ready to host further industrial, commercial and residential development in the area, the release added.
