Raffles Hotel to undergo 16-month restoration in stages from Jan 2017

Move will rejuvenate facilities and interior design; hotel to be fully closed only in final stretch of 3-phase project

The iconic Raffles Hotel enjoys an occupancy rate of between 75 to 80 per cent at present. Simon Hirst, the hotel's general manager, expects this performance to at least hold up, if not improve, when it reopens in Q2 2018 after its restoration project.
