The scholarship, funded by the SPH Foundation, was set up upon the suggestion of Lim Kim San, a former Cabinet minister who served as Singapore’s first Minister of Finance; between 1988 and 2002, he was executive chairman of the then-Singapore Press Holdings. He died in 2006, the year the scholarship was launched.
It has since benefited 159 students.
Interested candidates may apply for the scholarship at https://www.sphfoundation.org.sg/lks-scholarship-awards.
