Adopting a flexible approach to hardware
Chee Fatt aims to create a significant local and regional presence by leveraging its strength in being fleet-footed in the industrial equipment industry.
"CLOSER and further" might seem like an unusual company vision, but Anthony Poh, owner and managing director of Chee Fatt Co, believes this makes perfect sense. It describes their genuine interest in understanding customers' needs, and propels Chee Fatt to become closer to their clients and hence help their clients go further and achieve more in the future. The three-time Enterprise 50 award winner attributes its achievements to the customer-centric culture that they uphold, and cite that it paved the path for the company's success.
Chee Fatt started out from humble beginnings, operating from a small zinc roof hut in 1962, and has grown over the years to become one of the pioneer and leading suppliers of hardware, industrial and safety products in South-east Asia. They also boast a solid customer base from diverse industries, including marine & offshore, oil & gas, aerospace, building and construction, and energy industries.
Today, Chee Fatt is an omni-distribution company with over 50 distribution rights and over 50,000 product lines from many established brands such as Milwaukee, Stanley, Facom, Dewalt, Ridgid Tools, among others. The company has built stable relationships with trusted local and foreign suppliers, and has enjoyed steady growth throughout its 52 years of history. "We place strong emphasis on our commitment to relationships based on quality, fairness, service, respect for customers and industry knowledge, encapsulating the company's strong family business culture" added Mr Benjamin Foo, general manager of Chee Fatt.
