AN initiative by Spring Singapore and the local bourse operator Singapore Exchange (SGX) to position small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) here for easier access to capital markets has bore fruit.
Traditionally, SMEs - which do not usually have robust risk management systems or strong internal controls - faced difficulties in raising funds for growth, as investors question their financial management capabilities.
