Certis launches recruitment drive to boost tech workforce amid growing digitalisation

CERTIS began a new recruitment drive on Wednesday (June 1), with the smart security and integrated services firm on the lookout for tech professionals, managers, executives and technicians (PMETs).

The company said in a press release that some of the available roles include data engineers, software architects, cybersecurity specialists, cloud engineers and data analysts. It did not specify the total number of positions that it is hiring for.

Certis said it will boost its tech workforce hiring to “develop more innovative, smart security solutions incorporating internet of things, robotics and artificial intelligence” to support the increased digitalisation among existing and potential customers following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Apart from recruiting more staff who have experience in technology, Certis stressed that it will continue to upskill the knowledge and skill-sets of its existing employees.

Over the last year, 77 per cent of the company’s global tech workforce have upgraded their skills in data analytics, operations technology and development, enterprise systems and project management, Certis said in its press release.  

The company has also extended technology development courses to its employees in non-technology roles to instill tech-savviness across its business.

Since 2018, Certis’ tech staff have supported the development of smart integrated solutions to drive business outcomes in increased productivity, efficiency and enhanced experience for its customers in the government, retail, property and education sectors. The tech teams have also developed in-house operational technology applications.
