China: Shares flat in morning trade

    [SHANGHAI] Chinese shares were flat in morning trade Monday, after data released over the weekend showed weaker exports and imports in January, dealers said.

    The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.05 per cent, or 1.55 points, to 3,077.46.

    The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, rose 0.18 per cent, or 2.69 points, to 1,497.95.
