China: Shares slightly higher in morning trade

[SHANGHAI] Chinese shares were up slightly in morning trade on Wednesday, as financial stocks rebounded on hopes the central bank will further ease monetary policy, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.27 per cent, or 8.69 points, to 3,243.99.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged up 0.10 per cent, or 1.41 points, to 1,453.78.
