[LONDON] European stock markets slid at the start of business on Monday as traders began the week on a sour note.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 fell anew, shedding 0.5 per cent to 7,150.51 points compared with the close on Friday.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index lost 0.2 per cent to 11,786.31 points and the Paris CAC 40 gave up 0.3 per cent to 4,823.50.
