Europe: Stocks close mixed

[PARIS] Europe's main stock markets finished the day mixed on Thursday with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index gaining 0.59 per cent to 6,761.07 points.

The CAC 40 in Paris lost 0.21 per cent to 4,987.33 points and Frankfurt's DAX 30 index slipped 0.06 per cent to 11,799.39 points from Wednesday's record close.
