Europe: Stocks close sharply higher after UK poll

[PARIS] Europe's main stock markets closed sharply higher on Friday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index jumping 2.32 per cent to 7,046.82 points as the Conservatives swept to a surprise outright win in the British election.
The CAC 40 in Paris gained 2.48 per cent to 5,090.39 points, while the DAX in Frankfurt soared 2.65 per cent to 11,709.73 points.
