Europe: Stocks higher, FTSE and DAX hit record closes

[PARIS] Europe's main stock markets finished up on Thursday with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index and Frankfurt's DAX 30 index hitting record high closing levels.
The FTSE 100 rose 0.21 per cent to 6,949.73 points while the DAX 30 index shot up 1.04 per cent to 11,327.19 points.
Meanwhile in Paris the CAC 40 climbed 0.58 per cent to 4,910.62 points.
