Europe: Stocks stable at open
[LONDON] European stocks steadied at the start of trade on Tuesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.1 per cent at 7,358.36 points.
In the eurozone, the Paris CAC 40 edged almost 0.1 per cent higher to 4,974.79 points compared with Monday's close, while Frankfurt's DAX 30 was flat at 11,963.76.
The region's equities sank on Monday after Germany's troubled Deutsche Bank unveiled plans over the weekend to raise fresh capital.
