European stock markets steady at open

[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets steadied at the start of trading on Friday, with London and Paris flat and Frankfurt up slightly.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index opened at 7,328.77 points, while Frankfurt's DAX 30 index gained around 0.2 per cent to 13,044.15 points and the Paris CAC 40 was stable at 5,374.13.
