Hong Kong, Shanghai: Shares close down
HONG KONG] Hong Kong and Shanghai tracked an Asia-wide decline Thursday despite a fresh Wall Street high, as both markets lost ground on profit-taking.
The Hang Seng Index fell 0.28 per cent, or 76.37 points, to close at 27,531.01.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.37 per cent, or 12.13 points, to end at 3,272.93, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged down 0.01 per cent, or 0.11 points, to 1,869.21.
