Hong Kong, Shanghai: Shares open higher

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks ticked up in early trade on Wednesday, tracing gains in US and European markets as oil prices saw a rare rebound.
The Hang Seng Index rose 1.71 per cent, or 322.35 points, to 19,183.15 soon after opening.
And in Shanghai the benchmark composite index edged up 0.23 per cent, or 6.29 points, to 2,756.08 a day after slumping more than six per cent.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, rose 0.35 per cent, or 6.02 points, to 1,720.44.
