[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks rallied in the first few minutes of trade Tuesday, rebounding from the previous day's losses and tracking New York gains as dealers looked past the collapse of weekend talks to limit oil output.

The Hang Seng Index climbed 1.31 per cent, or 276.63 points, to 21,438.13 at the open.

And in Shanghai the composite index gained 0.44 per cent, or 13.47 points, to 3,047.13, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, rose 0.41 per cent, or 8.05 points, to 1,960.46.
